After studying classical European garden design as a hobby, Amy Ping soon discovered her passion ...

Amy Ping founded Old South Landscapes after 20 years in the landscape industry to provide a more personal client-focused design-build experience for her clients.  She graduated from Texas A&M University in 1986 with a B.A. in Political Science and Latin.  After studying classical European garden design as a hobby, she soon discovered her passion was landscape design and installation.  She then completed the landscape design course at Texas A&M.

“Creativity is a wild mind and a disciplined eye.”

Dorothy Parker

From pen and pencil sketches to detailed CAD blueprints and working with her team on-site throughout the installation, her focus is the collaboration with each individual client to bring beautiful, comfortable and functional outdoor spaces alive.  She resides in Richmond with her husband, two sons, and two dogs (Zoey and Daisy).  When not on the job, she enjoys Fightin’ Texas Aggie football and hunting the back roads of Texas for antiques.
